          Now Is The Time To Plan Your Summer Rides!

Trust Me, nothing comes together without a plan... you need to lay down some groundwork

If you're new to longer rides, particularly to a rally; consider the first rally below:

April 30 - May 3   The Sturgis, Michigan Mini-Rally   (185 mi from Midland)
                         We are lucky to have this rally here in Michigan. Not only is it a great way to
                         start the Rally season, it also offers the novice rally rider an opportunity to get
                         involved at a very minimal cost. There is plenty of space for camping, it's close
                         to home, there are activities, meals, great sights, great people to meet, field
                         events and door prizes. There are also fantastic restaurants in the area.
                         If you are interested in attending and would like to ride to the Rally in a group,
                         contact Rich Best our Activities Director.

April 30 - May 3    The Georgia Mountain Rally - Hiawassee, GA  (8-900 mi from Midland)
                         This is an interesting Rally. Getting there is quite the adventure, you will travel
                          on some of the best cycling roads in America. There is a very good write-up
                          about this Rally in the Jan issue of BMW-ON. It's a fantastic experience but if
                          you plan to attend, bring your rain gear, it has rained 9 out of the last 10 years

May 14 - 16          Great River Road Run - Soldiers Grove, WI  (8-900 mi from Midland)
                          Over the top on the way there and under Chi Town on the way home (or the
                          other way around, depending on the weather). The Rally fee is minimal but the
                          experience is memorable. Very close to the Mississippi, plenty of history in the
                          surrounding area. If you plan to attend, bring your warm sleeping bag.

July 15 - 18          38th BMW MOA National Rally - Redmond, OR  (a long way from Midland)
                          What's to say... this is the Biggy! If you ride and want to see something other
                          than freeway, allow at least two weeks and probably more!
